When Katherine was introduced to metal clay, it was an instant love affair. Before that, her artistic background included everything from sewing, to crocheting and quilting, to cross stitching and smocking, to stained glass, and acrylic painting. Years later, the artistic possibilities of metal clay still excite her.

Katherine’s 25+ years in human resources and business contribute to her teaching style. She is a natural motivator and nurtures her students to bring forth their individual creativity while teaching the fundamental techniques used in metal clay.

Katherine lives in Southwest Louisiana in the heart of Cajun Country and is a member of Louisiana Craft Guild. Her class offerings range from introductory classes to Certification. Katherine teaches in her home studio, as well as at the New Orleans School of Art and Craft in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Katherine is one of four founding members of the L’ esprit du Metal, Louisiana Chapter of the PMC Guild where she serves as Treasurer and Secretary. Her jewelry can be found in several galleries both in Lafayette & New Orleans, LA including Sans Souci Gallery, Lafayette Art Association Gallery, Hermann-Grima-Gallier Historic Houses Gallery in New Orleans, LA.
