Background ( Profile)
I am a multi-media designer and teacher. I started the down the road of jewelry
making as a gold and silversmith for a large company that has since closed.
I made a few detours in other mediums. Teaching and sharing these with others,
especially to those who say “I can’t do that”. I was making
small porcelain pieces for jewlelry and happened upon PMC. It is true that
all roads lead home. I took a class and was super ‘hooked’. I
am still finding new uses for PMC.
What I like about PMC
I really, really love the PMC syringe and the sheet PMC. You can mimic nature
and make it tiny as you want. What would normally take days to accomplish,
can now be done in hours.
Specialty Skill (PMC Technique)
I like to make jewelry out of found objects and duplicate it in PMC. I love
a good challenge and I have even used tiny glass vials and covered them with
syringe work. I can now add small porcelain pieces directly to PMC instead
of building a piece and then adding the porcelain.
Teaching Area
I have a small PMC studio in Angleton, Texas. I have almost every tool that
is needed for PMC work and any additional medium that you would want added
to PMC. I am available to travel. I have the ability to bring kilns, tools
and all supplies (if needed).
Specialty Skill (Non-PMC Technique)
- Wire Wrapping
- Glass Fusing
- Cold Connections
- Porcelain
- Small Ceramic Pieces
- Lamp Work
- Small Stained Glass Pieces
Artisans's Statement
I now prefer to use PMC combined with porcelain, glass vials and faceted stones
as my creative outlet.
